SABER2232 Large-Format Rack & Pinion CNC Router – MASSO G3 Controller
The CNC Basix SABER2232 is a large-format rack & pinion CNC machine and CNC router equipped with a MASSO G3 CNC controller, designed for full-sheet cutting, woodworking, signage, furniture manufacturing, plastics, acrylic, aluminium panels and other suitable materials.
With a 2200 × 3200 mm machine footprint and a 1860 × 2780 × 200 mm working area, the SABER2232 provides a large CNC cutting area for workshops, manufacturers, sign makers and production businesses. The machine is designed to process full-size 1830 × 2750 mm boards without repositioning.
The SABER2232 uses rack & pinion drive systems on the X and Y axes, HGR linear rail systems and dual Y-axis motors. The machine is supplied with a MASSO G3 CNC controller, 2.2 kW air-cooled spindle and VFD, automatic homing, auto squaring and limit protection.
The open-ended machine design also allows longer materials to pass through the cutting area, making the SABER2232 suitable for a range of large-format CNC routing and production applications.
Large-Format CNC Router for Full-Sheet Cutting
The SABER2232 is designed for processing large sheets and panels with minimal repositioning. Its working area accommodates commonly used full-size boards, while the open-ended machine design allows longer materials to pass through the machine.
The machine features a rigid square-tube steel frame, aluminium X and Y axis extrusions, HGR20 linear rails and rack & pinion drive systems on the X and Y axes. The Z axis uses an HGR15 linear rail system with an SFU1605 ball screw.
Rack & Pinion CNC Drive System
The rack & pinion drive system provides controlled movement across the large working area. The SABER2232 uses dual motors on the Y axis and includes automatic homing and auto-squaring functionality.
The machine is equipped with seven proximity sensors for axis homing and protection.
MASSO G3 CNC Controller
The SABER2232 MASSO version is equipped with the MASSO G3 CNC controller, an integrated CNC control system designed to operate the machine independently of a PC-based motion controller.
MASSO G3 provides integrated CNC hardware and software for machine control, including axis movement, spindle control, homing, limits and other configured CNC functions.
The MASSO G3 system includes built-in Wi-Fi connectivity for PC connectivity through MASSO-Link software, allowing machine status to be monitored and G-code files to be transferred.
The controller also provides a toolpath display for viewing and positioning jobs, four USB ports for compatible peripherals and direct spindle control with MPG handwheel support.
2.2kW CNC Spindle
The standard machine includes a 2.2kW air-cooled spindle and VFD kit with manual spindle speed control from 12,000 to 24,000 RPM.
The machine is supplied with 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm collets and cutting bits.

Fusion 360
Fusion 360 can also be used for CNC design and CAM workflows. Basic training is available at additional cost.
